Bitfinex to Close Margin Trading and Funding for Three Tokens

In line with our commitment to delivering the best trading experience, we will be closing margin trading and funding for Axie Infinity (AXS), Tezos (XTZ) and yearn.finance (YFI).

This decision has been made as a result of our continued monitoring of all listed projects.

From 10:00 AM UTC on 17/09/2024, customers will only be able to reduce their margin positions in AXS/USD, AXS/USDt, XTZ/BTC, XTZ/USD, XTZ/USDt, YFI/USD and YFI/USDt.

From 10:00 AM UTC on 19/09/2024, Bitfinex will disable margin trading on the above pairs as well as all funding for AXS, XTZ and YFI. 

All remaining margin and funding orders will be cancelled, and all open margin positions will be force settled on 19/09/2024 at 10:00 AM UTC. 

Customers who have used AXS, XTZ or YFI as collateral to finance margin positions are reminded to replace this collateral with an alternative asset before 19/09/2024. Failure to do so may result in liquidation.

Deposits, withdrawals and spot trading for Axie Infinity, Tezos and yearn.finance, as well as Tezos staking, will remain available to customers.
