Side Chain

What is cross-chain? Cross-chain is a protocol that solves the mutual transmission, transfer and exchange of assets and functional status on two or more different chains. Cross-chain technology can increase the scalability of the blockchain and can fundamentally solve the problem of "data islands" caused by transaction difficulties between different public chains/side chains. The side chain is another blockchain outside the main chain. It anchors a certain node in the main chain. It uses the computing power on the main chain to maintain the authenticity of the side chain and realize the value on the public blockchain and the value on other account books. Transfers between multiple blockchains. The most representative implementation is Blockstream. The main chain in this blockchain architecture where the main chain and side chain collaborate is sometimes also called the parent chain.
